How Much Meat Can a 4-Quart Cooker Hold?
Most 4-quart cookers have the capacity of holding around 5–6 pounds of meat. While many 4-quart cookers might claim to accommodate up to 10 pounds, they’re usually referring to other, less demanding foods. Six pounds should be just enough to give the meat its required breathing room without sacrificing quality.

Ideally, you want the slow cooker to fit the family in at least six quarters instead of four quarters. The size of each family member can be adjusted depending on how much each of them consumes with a 4 liter slow cooker. Using a 6 liter slow cooker for family meals and leftovers won’t be a problem. Be sure to check the full size of the multicooker, not just the capacity of the cooking insert, and compare it to your storage solutions.
Storage can be an issue for some, and the most versatile size if you can only have one is the 5-quart. We recommend it for larger meals such as flans, stews, and 360-degree dinners; this pot is suitable for roasts with 3-4 pounds of boiled meat.
