Some stores have one bottle of oil and one of vinegar separated, and will pour a portion of either onto your sandwich on demand. For one big sandwich, use 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 3 tablespoons of oil.

It is possible that certain Subway locations will have a single oil bottle and a single vinegar bottle, and they will add a little bit of each to your order when you ask for butter and vinegar.
