How To Prevent Eggs From Cracking When Boiling Them
You can prevent eggs from cracking while boiling them. Firstly, don’t drop the eggs in the water harshly. Place the eggs gently in the water when it comes to a boil. Secondly, add a tablespoon of vinegar to the water. This will prevent the whites from coming out even if the egg is cracked.
Start with old eggs, cook them very hot (but don’t use a pressure cooker), cool quickly and completely, crack them all over and peel them under running water. Leave the eggs in the boiling water for 15 minutes (you can add a few ice cubes to chill the eggs if using them right away) or refrigerate them overnight.
The right way to boil eggs
Starting in already-boiling water will help the shells separate from the eggs earlier, but you’ll need to reduce the heat to low if you want the egg whites to be tender and not chewy. You may need to adjust the handle up or down for the first few minutes until you are sure it will continue to boil. If you try to stack the eggs or stuff more eggs into the pot, the water won’t be hot enough to cook the eggs.
Therefore, when boiling hard-boiled eggs, it is best to turn off the heat when the water boils and let the egg stand for 17 minutes in a bath with the lid closed. You can bring water to a boil and let it sit for 12 minutes if you have enough water and eggs to keep it warm.
Start boiling for 30 seconds, then simmer for 13 minutes, then an ice bath at the end makes hard-boiled eggs perfect and easy to peel. After boiling, let the eggs stand in an ice bath for at least 15 minutes, then peel the eggs or refrigerate (unpeeled) for up to seven days.
You can leave hard-boiled eggs on the counter for about 20 minutes or place them in a bowl of room-temperature water while you wait for the pot to boil. Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and place the soft eggs on the stove for 6-7 minutes.
If you’re afraid they’ll get cold, you can put them on a small stove instead of simmering. Just place soft eggs in a saucepan with cold water and cover by 1-2 inches, depending on how many eggs you want to cook.
Place the eggs (room temperature) in a saucepan and cover with cold tap water, which should be cold but not frozen. After boiling the eggs for 10-12 minutes, place them in cold water to quickly lower the temperature and stop the cooking process.
When I put 12 eggs under cold water, I shake the pan to beat and break the eggs; this allows moisture to penetrate the eggshell membrane, making it easier to peel the eggs. If I boil eggs slowly, I see tiny bubbles coming out of the shell in several places; this is a natural pressure-release process.
If you add boiling or ice water to an egg, the shell will crack, and the contents will seep into the boiling water. Adding vinegar to the water in which the eggs are boiled will also help keep the shells from cracking.
The ice bath helps separate the eggshell from the eggshell, so you can remove the eggshell without tearing the egg white chunks.
Adding salt or vinegar to tap water won’t keep the eggs from cracking, but if the egg whites start oozing out of a small crack in the shell, it will freeze the egg whites, and the cracked eggs will still look good.

You won’t drink tap water, but some of it can get into the egg if there are cracks (this happens). You can do this by filling a separate bowl with water and ice and adding the eggs, or carefully pour the water out of the saucepan without breaking the eggs, then fill the saucepan with cold water and ice.
Immediately place eggs in ice water after 13 minutes of simmering (do not boil – see full method below and read tips to prevent cracking).
The best way is to bring the water to a boil, carefully lower the eggs (a fine sieve or slotted spoon will do), and then let them simmer for 30 seconds.
If you are boiling, you can soak the eggs in boiling water, let them cook for 30 seconds or so just to set the outside of the egg whites, then lower the temperature and bring them to readiness at about 180-190 degrees Fahrenheit or 82 – 88 degrees C (very low cooking temperature).
On the other hand, a pot of boiling or steaming water stays reliably at the same temperature (assuming constant atmospheric pressure), meaning it doesn’t matter what kitchen you’re in. It doesn’t matter how powerful their stove is that is, as long as I can boil some water, my eggs will cook reliably time after time.

With steam, there’s no need to lower the heat – the lower-density vapours mean that steamed eggs actually cook a little softer than hard-boiled eggs.
The gentleness of the steam – and the relative ease of loading the steam insert and lowering it into the pot compared to trying to lower the eggs one by one into boiling water gently – also has the advantage of reducing the chance of the shell cracking and bursting. whites come out.

The rotation requires you to keep most of the burners at medium heat, as the eggs will drop the temperature of the water drastically (the eggs will just move like beans jumping into the already rapidly boiling water) and continue to simmer in the pot for 12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
