How To Drain Pasta Without A Strainer?
Draining pasta without a strainer can be quite time consuming and exhausting, but it is still possible. All you have to do is take the largest spoon, and collect however much pasta noodles you can in it. Then plaster the edge of the spoon against the pot/bowl and tilt it slightly so that the water collected can escape.
This method is the least efficient, because you might not get rid of all of the water. If you do not have a strainer, there are several ways you can remove the water from the pan without losing any of your food.
If you do not have a pasta strainer, or you are using one, you can drain water off of pasta using a spoon. Use a sieve to strain your pasta, dumping both the pasta and the water into the strainer. To drain pasta through a strainer, set the strainer on top of the bowl, and dump hot pasta through the strainer.
Scoop out your pasta, hold it up against the sides of the pan, and tilt to drain, then place into the tan, empty bowl. An alternate method for using the slotted spoon is simply to spoon your pasta from the pan one bite at a time, let the water drip out, then scoop this pasta into your dish. You will have to repeat this until your pasta is done, making sure that all of the water has been drained off the spoon before you place the pasta in a dish.
You can gently hold the spoon near the pan, above a plate or bowl, and let out as much of the water through the spoon as possible, not dropping too much of the pasta from the pan. Then, holding both my strainer and my pasta pan, I will let water flow through the strainer. Place the colander over your pan, and then dump the water straight down into your sink.

If you absolutely have to use the colander, put it over the larger pan first, so that the water from the macaroni will escape from the drain. To drain your pasta, put it into the colander and wash under cool running water until the water runs clear. To prolong the life of pasta, wash it thoroughly under cold running water after cooking.
Use only enough water to cover the pasta, and be sure to stir frequently while cooking it to prevent sticking. Generally, the longer your pasta is cooking, the more water you will need to use so that your pasta does not get stuck together in the pan too much. If you are going to use a ladle to strain your pasta, be sure that it is slotted, as an ordinary ladle will hold on to water, and your pasta will not be draining properly. Toss the pasta in a bit of vegetable or olive oil to keep it from clumping together and sticking.
If you already tossed the pasta with sauce, there is no need to add extra oil. With this method of straining, you can also take out a small spoonful of leftover pasta water and add that back into the sauce should it get too dry.
Once you have started boiling the water, and added the pasta into the water, you need to take off the lid to keep the water from bubbling. We recommend brining warm or boiling water once it has started to bubble, just before you are going to add the pasta. Do not press down on the pasta; add more warm water as needed until you get the desired texture.

Because hot or hot water evaporates when heated and boiling, waiting until just before you are ready to add the pasta will guarantee the correct ratio of salt to water.
