Yeast is used for baking treats. And without yeast, you cannot bake things like loaves of bread and cakes. Usually, a recipe doesn’t require a full packet of yeast. But if you are wondering how much a standard size packet of yeast weighs in grams it weighs about 7 grams.

In your average packet of Fleischmann brand yeast, a packet of yeast is 7 grams. Typically, a package of yeast contains 1/4 ounce, which is equivalent to 2 1/4 teaspoons or 7 grams of yeast. If your recipe calls for more than 7 grams of yeast, you can buy larger, less common yeast packs.
