Some marinades tend to overpower steaks (like lemon marinades), but you’ll find that this enhances the flavor of steaks without overpowering them.

Thicker, 1 1/2-inch thick steaks such as ribeye or New York strip are great marinade candidates to add layers of flavor. I like to use New York steaks here, other great options are ribeye, sirloin, flank steak or skirt. Our favorite cuts are New York Strip fillets and steaks, especially because of the cooking method we use in this recipe.

Our favorite marinated steaks are flat iron, skirt or flank steak, tri tip steak or even a London roast. Small, thin round steaks are less marinated than brisket steak, but I love brisket steak, so I use it most often.

There is no need to cut the flank or steak, as it already has a large surface, being a long, lean piece of meat. If you have a large piece of steak, no matter how you prepare the steak marinade without soy sauce, it will not go through the whole steak. Also keep in mind that when your steak is removed from the heat, it will continue to cook for a minute or two, raising the temperature another 2-4 degrees. After removing the steak from the heat, place it on a plate for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

The steak should be left for at least 6 hours, if possible, it should be marinated for 24 hours to enhance the texture and flavor of the steak. I recommend marinating the steak for at least an hour, but if you have time, it’s best to marinate the steak for at least 6-8 hours. If you’re short on time and don’t have a full 24 hours to marinate a steak, at least 6 hours will do. Also, you don’t want to marinate your steak for more than 24 hours.

For example, if you have more time or want to make this marinade in the morning or the night before, you can cook and marinate it longer (up to 6 hours or overnight) or mix it all in 20 minutes before done. grill. If you go into a real brine or forget about it, your steak can still be cooked up to 24 hours in the marinade. Once the marinade is ready, add the steaks and let them soak up all that delicious flavor.

Then, when cooked, serve the meat with the marinade, but with a dash of acid for extra flavor. Serve with plenty of marinade. It’s best to salt the meat before cooking to make it more juicy. Remove the steak from the marinade and gently shake the marinade off the steak (but make sure the steak is still coated with oil so it doesn’t stick to the grill).

To obtain tender pieces of steak, it is important that it is cut upstream when slicing and serving. That’s because today I’m sharing my secret to a 20-minute marinade that will turn even cheaper cuts into a delicious and tender steak with such flavor that you’ll forget to cook A-1.
