Fortunately, there are a few ways you can preserve a pineapple and ensure that you will have a beautiful piece of fruit when you are ready to eat. A whole pineapple can last a day or two on the counter, but you are best served cutting and storing it ASAP so that you keep it as fresh as possible.
An uncut whole pineapple can be stored at room temperature on the counter of the kitchen until ready to be eaten. Chopped pineapple can be stored in the fridge for up to four days; but you can always extend the shelf life by soaking the pineapple slices in simple syrup.
