Does Agave Nectar Go Bad?
The shelf life of agave nectar is pretty much infinite, made from the agave plant. However, some warning is advised if the agave nectar sits in the cabinet for years. Feel free to use it if it tastes okay, and otherwise, throw it out.
The quality of agave nectar may start to deteriorate after the expiration date, but even though it tastes slightly different, it can still be eaten. Agave nectar does not need to be refrigerated, but can be stored at room temperature in a kitchen cabinet or pantry where it will have a virtually indefinite shelf life.
