Are Hedge Apples Edible?
Unfortunately, hedge apples are not suited for human consumption due to their gooey latex secretions and woody pulp. Apparently, hedge apples can also be edible for humans (according to the Green Deanes website); my daughter tasted the seeds and said it looked like weed and not very tasty.
