Boiled eggs are a versatile, healthy choice for breakfast or snacks, but, just like other cooked foods, you will want to store them properly to prevent bacterial growth and food poisoning. If you want to enjoy eggs without worrying about the health risks, you need to store them correctly. Peeled, hard-boiled eggs can be stored in a cooler in a bowl with cool water that is covered for about one week — changing the water every day — or in a sealed container with no water (covering eggs with wet paper towels) for about as long. The higher temperatures will start bacteria growth, and the hard-boiled eggs will spoil in about 2 hours.
