Frozen meat can be cooked easily but it takes more time than fresh meat.  If fresh meat takes one hour to cook, the frozen one would take about 1 ½ hour. Since you can’t season frozen ground beef, be sure to season it enough after cooking. As you can see, you can cook ground beef on the stove from frozen, browning it along the way. If your frozen ground beef has already been cooked (for example, in the case of frozen meatballs), you can cook it safely in a slow cooker without worrying about food safety. You can thaw frozen ground beef in the refrigerator 1-2 days before cooking, so if you plan to, take it out of the freezer the day before cooking.

If you really don’t have time to thaw meat ahead of time, grill or cook frozen steaks and burgers. A slow thaw in the refrigerator is ideal for defrosting steak, other cuts of beef, or any other meat. Once food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to freeze without cooking, but moisture loss during thawing may reduce quality. Large cuts of meat, such as roasts, last longer frozen, while ground meats can dry out or burn in the freezer after a few months. Smaller pieces of meat can “melt” inside much faster and can therefore be excellent candidates for pressure cooking, although even these smaller pieces require at least 50% extra cooking time.

Freshly thawed ground turkey pieces take longer to cook (approximately 50% longer) and are not ideal for crispy, golden crust or perfect browning. It is not recommended to re-freeze whole frozen turkeys after thawing unless you cook them first. The USDA recommends throwing raw roasts, steaks, and ribs in the freezer after a year, and raw ground beef after as little as 4 months.

How do you cook Frozen beef in an Oven?
