Can You Boil Liver

You can boil liver, it is a very simple method. When you boil liver you get rid of toxins from your body. To boil liver, simply place liver in a pan and add enough water to cover the liver. When the water starts to boil simmer the liver until tender then drain off the liquid and serve.

Let each side of liver slices cook 1 to 2 minutes, then turn each one after browning. Return water to the boil, add the pork livers to pot, and simmer on a low simmer until they are cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Have the fresh beef livers sliced finely, covered in boiling water, let sit ten minutes. If it is calves liver, rinse it with cold water from a pigs head, then allow to drain; but if it is beef liver, wash it, cover with boiling water, let it sit for five minutes, and then remove.

When done, put beef liver into a big pot, add potatoes, carrots, chickpeas, and boiling water. Let the beef liver simmer covered in the pot, checking to see whether it is cooked through, then remove the beef liver from heat. Salt and pepper the liver generously, and let the liver sit at room temperature while the remaining ingredients are prepared.

Serve chicken livers with cooked vegetables or mashed potatoes, adding a little more salt and pepper as desired. Pork liver, when cooked, has a more shredded texture, whereas chicken liver is going to be more tender and slightly powdery. When cooked like that, the liver has a nice creamy smooth texture, with a good outer crust, that is pretty different from anything else that you will taste. The flour gives the liver a nice flavored crust and more of a nuttiness that some find more satisfying.

The liver, cooked rare to medium rare, is so sweet and creamy that you can eat leftovers chilled, as a pate. Many people might not even realize that they are eating liver pate, since liver is combined with cooked pork, ham, and bacon, as well as cooked eggs, crushed garlic, chopped onions, and a little bit of oil. Liver is much like steak, when it gets to a fully cooked stage, it gets tough because it continues cooking after you take it off the fire. Liver is really good to grill, but the best way to prepare it is to roast it for ten minutes, with four to five slices of salted pork. Slice liver thinly, dredge liver in the flour of your choice, and roast low and slow in a hot grease until it is just cooked through. Add some salt to cooked liver paste, place it in a pan, and cook it on low while stirring constantly.

It is also good idea to rinse your liver gently, then pat it dry, then put in some full fat milk (to cover), leave in fridge about an hour, then cover in some flour, then fry. To tenderize the liver and to reduce strong flavors and aromatics, slice into thin strips and soak strips in milk for up to four hours.

Then, remove liver, slice into smaller strips along with the pork, and place it in a roasting pan with some water, oil, and pepper. Mix with a liver of the calf a pound of minced beef meat, half pound of flour, two finely chopped onions, and a handful of breadcrumbs. Put in four quarts of cold water one pound of lean, cheap meat, one pound of liver, whole, a few bones chopped off, two tablespoons of salt, one teaspoon of pepper, four leeks, chopped fine, and four carrots, four turnips, and four onions, all whole, with two cloves stuck on. To three pounds of raw liver, add a quarter of a pound of uncooked salted pork, one-half pint of breadcrumbs, three tablespoons of salt, a teaspoon of pepper, and one-half teaspoon of each cayenne, cayenne, and cloves.

Place the chicken livers in one layer in the bottom of the steamer, cover with the lid, fill with water into the special bowl, and steam the livers in the steamer for one-half hour. First, be sure to select good, fresh liver, and set the oven to 250F for roasting beef livers for dogs.

Cook until the meat registers at least 160F for beef, pork, or lamb, or 165F for chicken liver, when tested by a meat thermometer, as recommended by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
