It is not recommended to leave lettuce out overnight. Lettuce is a perishable food that can spoil quickly when left at room temperature. Bacteria and other microorganisms can grow on lettuce, which can cause it to spoil and become unsafe to eat. It is best to store lettuce in the refrigerator to help keep it fresh and prevent it from going bad.
In warmer weather, salads can be kept outside the fridge up to two hours, or kept inside the fridge for up to an hour if temperatures are above 90 degrees. Sandwiches can stay out of the refrigerator for up to 4 hours if the temperature is below 90 degrees F. You can also prolong lettuces lifespan by keeping it separate from your other chopped veggies, rather than keeping the lettuces all mixed together.

Loosely packed lettuce keeps 7-10 days, while chopped lettuce keeps 5-7 days if refrigerated correctly.
