While it is completely okay to store carrots out of the fridge, provided that you are going to use them in just a couple of days, you cannot say the same about baby carrots. If your carrots are cut up or chopped, you may want to keep them in the refrigerator, where they will keep about 2 to 3 weeks.
Cooked leftover carrots can also be stored in the freezer, for just as long, in an airtight container. Cooked carrots can last in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days, or for up to one year if frozen in an airtight container.

It is also probably possible to transfer carrots into new containers that are not as slimy, and then return to the fridge. You could even try taking out your carrots, drying out your bag, then leaving it open slightly while storing your carrots.
To top things off, store your carrots in a container with a lid, and completely cover the carrots in water. If you notice the carrots are slick when cut, put them into a container of cold water until they are not slick anymore.
For the most part, baby carrots will get slimy because they are exposed to condensation. If you find that you are waiting several weeks, maybe even a little longer than a month, before using your baby carrots, they are going to get more slithery. You do not need to worry about the young, fresh carrots getting slimy in the bag, but you do need to use them within a certain amount of time before they begin to spoil.
The one thing that you do have to keep in mind when buying fresh young carrots is you should wash them thoroughly. Fresh, unpeeled carrots must remain moist, so the best way to store Fresh is by placing carrots with water in a fridge. It might sound counterintuitive to put the carrots in a higher-humidity drawer right now, after we mentioned drying them, to remove any excess moisture.
